Gathering in Good Spirits!

We recently had the pleasure of coming together for another meaningful gathering hosted at Transpek Industry Limited. Around 30 participants joined the meet, bringing with them a shared sense of positivity, openness, and purpose. From the very beginning, the room was filled with warmth and a strong intention to learn from one another.

The session featured inspiring presentations from:

  • Guiding Light
  • Ashish Kunnath
  • Ramesh Parmar
  • Simple Deeds Foundation
  • Svades

Each presenter shared their journey, the projects they are working on, and the real challenges they face on the ground. Their stories reminded everyone that social work is full of learning, persistence, and hope. Listening to different perspectives created a deeper sense of connection among the participants.

A Thought-Provoking Conversation with Ms. Nimisha Desai

We were joined by Ms. Nimisha Desai, who led an honest conversation. She spoke about how, even though many efforts are being made in education, basic psycho-social issues often remain unresolved. She highlighted the reality of inequality and discrimination that continues to exist in society.

She encouraged everyone to reflect on our own fears, beliefs, perceptions, and value systems, and reminded us that meaningful work requires conviction, commitment, clarity, and purpose. One message stood out strongly:
Projects should only be taken up if they truly align with our purpose — because when the intention is right, resources and support will follow.

The Most Important Message: Taking Care of Each Other

The central theme of the conversation was simple yet powerful: we must take care of each other.

As social workers, we spend so much time caring for others that we often forget to support one another. Ms. Desai encouraged everyone to stand by each other not only for networking, co-creation, or collaboration, but simply as humans who care for one another.

The gathering ended with smiles, renewed energy, and a shared promise to stay connected and supportive. It was a reminder that community lies at the heart of everything we do — and together, we are stronger. We look forward to many more such meaningful gatherings ahead.
